Frequently Asked
Questions.
Helpful information before you get started.
What areas do you cover?
We cover Stoke-on-Trent and Bedford and the surrounding areas, and we take on larger projects nationwide.
Do you offer a free, no-obligation quote?
Yes. Book a survey and we'll visit to measure up, talk through your options and provide a free, no-obligation quotation.
Are you certified, and is your work guaranteed?
Yes. JMD Windows is Certass registered, so our window, door and roof-light installations are self-certified to meet Building Regulations, and our work is covered by an insurance-backed guarantee through QANW, alongside the manufacturers' own product guarantees.
What do you supply and install?
uPVC and aluminium windows and doors, composite front doors, conservatories, warm roof conversions, roof lanterns, garden rooms, fascias, soffits and guttering, and replacement misted sealed units. We both supply and install everything.
Can you replace a misted or failed double-glazed unit without replacing the whole window?
Yes. In most cases we can replace just the failed or misted glass unit and keep your existing frame, which restores clarity and saves you money.
What colours and finishes are available?
A wide range - from classic white through to woodgrain and contemporary greys and blacks, including the full Liniar colour range on uPVC and a broad choice of finishes on aluminium. We'll help you choose the right look at survey.
What's the difference between double and triple glazing?
Double glazing offers excellent all-round performance and great value; triple glazing adds a third pane for maximum thermal performance and noise reduction. You can compare them on our Double vs Triple Glazing page.
